I have a winter flowering cherry tree....about 40 years old...but flowers profusely every winter. I thought it was looking a bit odd the other day and found all the branches dead..and then noticed bacterial canker had encircled the top of the trunk. It must have been very quick as it was lovely all this winter. I'm thinking the poor thing has had it?
Anyone know if it can be saved? Or shall I get the chopper out
I've done a bit of research and it doesn't look good.
