I think batteries and track were said to have gone missing....but it was a major tall order to attempt 10 miles.

Perhaps should have gone with Hornby Dublo 3 rail..

Or...something a fraction larger...to ride behind...like I had the privilege of doing for 25 years, wearing another of my many hats...but that was not then a toy....it is real the real thing.. engineered in miniature..
..(photo below of a younger me....I'm not quite to scale. ..)

I have always liked the idea of having 2rail 00 gauge out in the garden...it is done, and with long track runs full length trains can be run :) .....I'm told it can run in some quite poor weather..however ice on the rails eventually stops the job.

I was given one of Mr Mays books yesterday....keeping on track.

Two light fleeces and my favourite shower gel (at my request) from my OH, after christmas we are going to buy some enviromesh for the garden, a lovely smelly candle, a glass photo frame and a mini speaker for my phone/mp3 player from my daughter and grand daughter and home made truffles from my daughter in law and son.

Best of all we were able to get out and do a decent walk yesterday out of Chipping up on to the hills and away from the freezing fog. It was wonderful, blue sky and deep snow.

Happy New year to everyone.

I did quite well this year. I got two new watering cans for the lottie, the deluxe version of Unforgettable Fire which I wasn't expecting. A fab bath bomb from Lush from the equally fantastic Grockie, the Mock the Week Book, the new Alan Titchmarsh, some clothes, a fab hand made woolly off my old mum, gift tokens, book tokens and choccie.

Not a bad haul really :D
Lots of love

Lizzie
