my father came round this morning and asked if we'd enjoyed our wedding aniversary yesterday....
.... the mrs is now claiming she was keeping quiet waiting to see when i'd remember i'd forgotten it..... mind you she couldnt remember which year we got married..

Dear Primrose, that was something i said a good while back, the reason it came to mind was, i was just day-dreaming about the odd silly things i have said through my life.

Hmmm, well as Mrs Beeton died when she was 29 (allegedly of syphilis) and wasn't a bad looker either, I'm not sure how to take that comment
