May I start by saying that I have long, curly, easily tangled hair which I generally wear shoved up out of the way.

Earlier today I was in my greenhouse, thinning out and tying in tomatoes. Some five hours later, I found a load of green tomatoes caught up in my hair. I couldn't untangle them and had to enlist Tim's help.

He eventually got them free and it dawned on me to ask why he'd not mentioned that I had hair full of tomatoes.

He said he thought it was deliberate!

To what kind of a lunatic does he think he is married?

Hi Chantal,

What a lovely little story.
Tim must have thought you looked quite natural with them. Do you make a habit of putting things in your hair :?:
Cheers PJ.

I'm just off down the greenhouse. I won't be long...........

Geoff sounds to me like you and your wife are getting through it with a brilliant sense of humour.

Chantal

Next time put a banana in your hair as well - then you can forgive him for thinking you are just trying out a new way of ripening green tomatoes

Tim is just Tim, he doesn't think like other people  and says the strangest things. Only two weeks ago I found a note from him in the kitchen which read

"I put a load of washing through, can you hang it out? Sorry, I forgot you only run the washing machine on Deep Space Nine".

For him, me wearing a bunch of green tomatoes as a hair decoration was normal. He said later he "thought I'd been on a photo shoot for KG, or something". I'd actually been to get the car MOTd!  :!:

Errr THANK YOU Peter  Are you trying to say I am mad? Trust me, most people I know are MUCH madder than I am, just ask Seedling (and no, I don't mean her).

Chantal, you set em up, I'll knock em down.

I just hope that Tim had the presence of mind to photograph you "avec les très joli verte tomates" before you noticed.

Perhaps he thought you were turning into Terry Pratchetts Duckman, who was completely sane apart from not noticing the small duck permenantly perched upon his head...........

I often used to have a chicken perched on my shoulder  when Rocky was small he loved sitting there whilst I hoed the allotment or when I was driving the car  In my defence, I DID know he was there.

No, Tim didn't take any photos, that I know of
