runner beans in australia

Hi

Silly question but can any of our 'down-under' colleagues confirm whether runner beans etc climb their poles the other way round (anti-clockwise) in the southern hemisphere.

I know it is different between north and south for water in sinks etc and am just wondering whether plants do the same thing?

I always thought they followed the sun/moon so that would be the same wherever you are, would it not?

I'm sure someone far more knowledgeable than me will have a precise answer.

Just to complicate things.

Runner beans twine clockwise when viewed from above, whereas most other kinds of beans twine counterclockwise. see Floridata

Where does that leave things?
