I have just spoken to my mum, I wasn't able to get to the allotment yesterday, as I was doing a craft fair. she told me she picked several cucumbers, one of which is 40cm long! they have gone bananas this year :)

OK, I see now that 40cm is not so impressive ..... :(

it is, however, the biggest one we have ever grown in over 20 years, so still quite chuffed!

It has deffo been a cucumber year - my neighbours are responding to my presence like they do when I have courgettes! :D
