I have just spoken to my mum, I wasn't able to get to the allotment yesterday, as I was doing a craft fair. she told me she picked several cucumbers, one of which is 40cm long! they have gone bananas this year

OK, I see now that 40cm is not so impressive .....
it is, however, the biggest one we have ever grown in over 20 years, so still quite chuffed!

It has deffo been a cucumber year - my neighbours are responding to my presence like they do when I have courgettes!
