I've just read that a new TV programme, The Amateur Gardener, by amateurs for amateurs is starting shortly. The Horticultural Channel will go live from 6th March 2011. Freesat Channel 402, Sky Channel 166 at 9am Sundays (repeated Friday at 8.30pm) It can also be watched on I-tunes or online at 8 thehorticulturalchannel.tv. Programmes will include Diary of an Allotment Gardener, Behind The Allotment Gates, Fruit, Veg & Dollies and Frugal Foods.

Expect many of us will be too busy gardening to watch it, even if they can access it but perhaps somebody who sees it will report back?

And they have a web site with competitions - shouldn't really be telling you about the free tickets.
