what fungus

Can't identify that mould? Got a great tip for keeping slugs at bay? Suggestions for organic weed control? Post them here...

was looking round an empty shop today, its a several hundred year old building, been a shop as long as i can remember... found this stuff in the corner of a back room, ceiling and wall are supposed to be white as is the plastic electrical trunking.... anyone got any idea what the black stuff is... it looks like some sort of fungus dropping down from the ceiling, shop has been empty for at least a year before that was an antique centre for a few years, prior to that a computer repair or electronics workshop.

Looks like either roots from a plant, or, more likely, Wet Rot aka Cellar Fungus.
