Now I know that squirrels have no brains. I have just watched one come and gather a walnut =from our patio window ledge, climb to the top of a nearby conifer tree whose top is still covered in snow. He then spent a few moments carefully burying it in the snow at a height of 12 feet from the ground. He then returned, collected another nut and duly repeated the process.
