I have been lifting a few Kestrel Potatoes this morning with our old SKJO Potato Fork..

Meanwhile, in the back field there is a Potato Ridgepress being used...

Now this is a new tool that I had not come across before..bearing in mind that I have been watching operations in the back field since 1962.

Having noted the name on the front mounted unit I see it is being used to stop light penetration down cracks in the ridges...and thus stop greening http://www.scottsuk.com/ridgepress.html

This might be posted in the wrong section :? ....but I have gone with the general interest.. :)
......and it does not fit a Merry Tiller or Old H' wheelbarrow

Dear Clive, this is a new piece of kit to me too. Quite amazing what machinery there is about that we don't get to see.

As for my wheelbarrow, i'm sure with a few adapted brackets we could get it to fit. :)

Hope your fork is not running to hot.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

The Fork is having a rest whilst its operator enjoys a stuffed chine and salad lunch :)
There is a plan to lift the Valor this afternoon.....but will leave the Estima?..for something a little bit more mechanised.
