Oh good grief. If it's on the telly, it must be great. It looked just like Black Krimm to me, also known as Black Russian, Ukraine Black, Black Enula — from a trial I grew of different tomato varieties I grew years ago (over a hundred varieties grown), we concluded that all the black beefsteaks were one and the same. They are very tasty, though, for sure, for slicing and cooking with. I think a cherry variety is good in a salad, a beefsteak is good for cooking with and the round red sort ideal in a sandwich. Rather like apples, it's horses for courses.
The same programme also rubbished Sweet Million. I've already made my opinions known about that
here.
Allotment, but little achieved.
