Allium Leaf Miner

Can't identify that mould? Got a great tip for keeping slugs at bay? Suggestions for organic weed control? Post them here...

Hi folks, I have only posted a few times before, so this post is bad news for us. It is confirmed that our onions on the lottie have been hit badly by the allium leaf miner. :(
Don't know whether to destroy the whole crop or wait and see, what do you advise.

I had to look this one up, I'd never hear of it. Found this:

http://www.rhs.org.uk/Learning/Research ... /pests.htm

As it leaves the plants open to bacterial infection, eg white rot, I'd lift and destroy the lot asap.

That's a scary site, that RHS one! Useful, though, for IDs.

Hope that helps.
