Weeding

Can't identify that mould? Got a great tip for keeping slugs at bay? Suggestions for organic weed control? Post them here...

The weeds around my raspberries, blackcurrants, gooseberries and rhubarb have got completely out of hand. Short of a flame thrower has anyone got any ideas? I don't really want to use nasty poisonous chemicals but I'm totally daunted by the amount of back breaking weeding to be done. Help

Or you could cover the surrounding area with black membrane fibre until the current weeds have died off, when it will be easier to dig over and extract the roots.
