I planted some broad beans. I obtain a lot of flowers but unfortunately, the majority of them falls off.
2 or 3 weeks ago, I observed some blackflies and ants. But they disappeared and today, I don't observe any blackfly.
Does anybody know why the flowers fall off?
Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi Noisette,
Scroll down to No broad beans showing? about 10 below this thread and read that and it may answer your question.

thanks for the link.
But it doesn't answer my question. The flowers come in group of roughly 10. Only 1 or 2 give a bean, the others flowers really fall off.
Do you think it can be the watering?

I would suggest it's because they are not being pollinated (lack of insects?) or because the atmosphere around them is too dry. Try to give them an overhead watering every evening and make sure that they are never completely dry at the roots.

Thank you for the advice.
I hope I will get more beans during the following weeks.
