I've tried second cropping pots from Marshalls in previous years, but they are expensive & don't arrive soon enough for me. So this year I bought two lots of seed, planted the first lot & put the others in the fridge. I'm just starting to dig the first lot & as I lift I plant the others out of the fridge. They haven't suffered, but are v cold with short white sprits. So, so far so good.

Pentland Javelin, no particular reason, just ones that were available. The first ones I planted are just showing through for a second crop of lovely new spuds !

Dear Gloworm, i was just wondering if you were being cunning and using a blight resistant variety, as the second crop are always more prone.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.
