hi am new to growing and would like some tips,at the moment i have 10 wheeler cabbages in my raised bed they have about leaves on them.i have some hispi seedlings .could you tell me if i plant out hispi in may when can i harvest? also some minicole cabbage seeds can i plant direct into soil and when will they be ready to harvest
hi jo jo i think youve asked impossible questions, so much hepends on factors of which we know nothing, the situation of your plot, cold and draughty or sheltered and warm, soil type, nutrient status of the soil, then we come to the weather, the best we can say is probably 2 to 3 months if the rabbits and pigeons leave them alone..... vegetable growing is not an exact science, its more a case of plant and hope
good luck
i live in east yorkshire in a vale like in a dip so the weather is some what mild even though i am in yorkshire.the raised beds have part mixture of john innes 3 topsoil famyard manure, thanks for the tip though 2 to 3 months it takes a cabbage to grow so if i sow minicole and hispi i should get a constant crop
