Whatever the plural you prefer.
In "Tools and Machinery" Clive mentions having found the new autospade on another forum. It made me wonder what other forums posters find informative, amusing or whatever.

One of my favourite sites is www.moneysavingexpert.com
I'm a fan of Martin Lewis, who inspired it. Don't know whether anybody has ever seen him on TV but he has been so fearless in taking on the banks and other institutions who give consumers a rotten deal that he must have caused a few stomach ulcers in financial boardrooms !! And some of the forums on the website make fascinating reading. One of its permanent threads is an "Old Fashioned Money Savings" topic which gets some interesting posts. Certainly worth a browse for anybody who hasn't checked it out yet. (Thank heaven for broadband. I'd never dare indulge in so much browsing in the expensive old days of "dial up").

Just to be pedantic -
Fora is the latin plural of forum.
Fori would be the plural of forus (no such word).
(The benefits of a classical education
)
Just for the record the Welsh plural is fforymau (singlar fforwm)
Well, some people always assume I'll get Welsh in somehow

Alan - the Latin Forum is fascinating. It's amazing what you can find on the internet! I've just spent a few moments trawling through it and it took me back many years to memories of the classroom, struggling to translate some boring story about Roman soldiers killing each other. However I can still remember my school's Latin motto - labor omnia vincit !

My school motto was Nil sine labore which we always translated as "No sign of work"

Salve Geoff...
When I went back for another foray it turns out that it was the equipment section of an Allotment and Gardening forum that I had landed on...still can't remember how I got there....or what I was looking up...it was raining.....and I ran all the way back home as fast as my little legs could take me to tell of what I had seen there..
Meanwhile I have been known to lurk elsewhere...Flypast historic aircraft forum, PlaneTalk historic aircraft forum, Fighter Control Index current military aircraft, Preserved Diesel Locomotive forum, North Yorkshire Moors Railway forum, Ecclesbourne Valley Railway Wirksworth e-group, Lincolnshire Wolds Railway volunteer e-group....etc, etc
Contrary to popular belief I do sometimes leave this swivel chair and go outside.....
As for Latin...it was set against Russian when I was at school....
and I elected to take Latin as did all the rest of my classmates except one.!!....which was a bit embarassing for the school folk...who had to persuade a few to change option to keep things happy and smiley with the Russian master.!!
Anyway, I hope my opening greeting to Geoff was correct.??..I'm sure the lessons used to start with Salve discipili...Salve magister..etc...after that I'm a bit lost..perhaps I was watching Avro Vulcans and EE Lightnings out the window again.
est merevise satis...is the motto of the original family who built the big house at my work...I have been told that it translates to .."it is enough to have deserved"...know you have done your best without looking for grand titles and rewards....
..I wonder if anyone ever dared to ask them for a pay rise.??!!
Clive.

When I tried that site I got endless popups that my antivirus software objected to as adware / spyware so I came out pretty quickly. I did look for a "contact us" button to complain to them but I couldn't find one.
Although I like Paul Lewis on MoneyBox I don't agree with this campaign against bank charges and am hoping the High Court will throw it out. If the banks publish their conditions and their charges, as I think they do, it is up to individuals to avoid them by managing their affairs correctly. I will be very upset if free banking for the careful disappears because of the actions of these selfish individuals. It is the same with the people who only pay red utility bills, they cost us all money and should either be surcharged or cut off, something like three strikes and out.

I too am a big fan of moneysavingexpert.com. Fabulous boards full of good info. I'm all for ripping of large companies before they do it to me. It's nothing personal...just business....well it is personal really cos I have a very deep loathing for most large companies.
Also go on my fave bands site which is great. Get loads of exclusives etc.
I play a lot of the free games on big fish etc.
As for the plaural of forums......I haven't got a clue. I'll leave that to the intelligent ones to work out

I've just amended Primrose's original post to put the correct website address on there. I'd hate anyone else to go to the "sexspert" website
with Primrose saying it's her favourite site too
Thanks for pointing it out guys
