I have a superspray hose end sprayer (www.superspray.co.uk) I bought for spraying liquid feed onto my plot. they have just emailed me to say that it has now been approved for use by the makers of Nemaslug for biological control of slugs.

Apparently 90% of slugs that are eating our veg live under the soil and are quite small as opposed to the great big things we see on the surface. Nemaslug are nematode worms that are already in the soil and certain types eat slugs! Neamslug is a concentrate of such worms and are watered onto the plot.

Think Ill try some!

I used Nemaslug on my potato beds this year - in two applications six weeks apart. It was a big success as my potatoes suffered no slug damage at all.
Pity about the blight though.
