Morning all

Growing climbing French beans for the first time and they have reached 6feet i.e. top of the canes - what now?

Do I pinch them out or or go horizontal?

Thanks as ever,

David

Hi David

A lot of people pinch them out but I never have done, I just let them go where they want. I did think about it once but couldn't easily find the growing tip as it was way above my head. :? Leaving them never seems to have done mine any harm 8)

Hi David

I agree entirely with Chantal. I grow, amongst others, Rider's Top of the Pole. When they reach the top they start looking for another pole - but always keep cropping.
