Hi all,
For fathers day my wife and little girl took me to the above grounds where I had read in the various magazines how it was an Organic Victorian walled Kitchen garden. Well they were correct about the wall, but the rest I found somewhat disappointing. There were weeds all over the place and a lot of the crops had been left to go to seed (lettuce to name one) It looked like they had started doing some gardening and then run out of labour. Has anybody else been there, and if so what did they think? Perhaps I was expecting too much I much preferred the garden at Helligan.

I went there about three years ago and I'm surprised at what you found. When I went there it was in quite good order. I remember looking with interest at all the fruit trees they had in pots.
It isn't as good as Heligan it true, though. Sad to hear it's going downhill.

I went 2 years ago and it was wonderful. Very well kept and gardeners in sight all over the place. What a shame that it's not being maintained - I was quite inspired by it.
