Morning all
Growing climbing French beans for the first time and they have reached 6feet i.e. top of the canes - what now?
Do I pinch them out or or go horizontal?
Thanks as ever,
David

Hi David
A lot of people pinch them out but I never have done, I just let them go where they want. I did think about it once but couldn't easily find the growing tip as it was way above my head.
Leaving them never seems to have done mine any harm

Hi David
I agree entirely with Chantal. I grow, amongst others, Rider's Top of the Pole. When they reach the top they start looking for another pole - but always keep cropping.
