Hi

I watched Carole's programme tonight. I'm trying to be positive and also trying to put myself in the shoes of a potential new veg. grower. I could see how the ptogramme might entice people to find out more - and it is so easy. By clicking onto the programme on the BBC web site there was no problem in finding the links to sites that are actually helpful (but not KG). Made me realise that my media expectatons might be a bit stuck in the past with Mr. Smith and Arthur B. OK so the show is visually rich but information poor (those broad beans were well past it when they were picked) but maybe such programmes work as kind of trailers for those who want to find out more?

Good evening Chris, i personally think if it was not for Carole's enthusiasm, the programme would be a total flop.
    Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Exactly, OH. The trouble is,Beeb will probably not realise that's all that it achieves and go back to all this ornamental stuff yet again. The other thing they haven't realised is the split betweeen the culinary side, for instance the Food Programme. and the actual growing side. Even Greg and Charlie can't tie the two together adequately. In my opinion the less the food is mucked about by chefs, the more healthy it is, but even carrots and rhubarb have to have some preparation.
