Mr Potato Head

As some of you already know, the forum is going to get a bit of a fresh coat of paint this week. As of Friday, the new look will be the default for new users (and guests). :D

In the meantime you can get a preview of the new look by setting the style setting in your profile to 'Wimpole'.

I would really appreciate your input/comments on anything that looks 'broken' as opposed to stuff that has simply changed. :)

Please don't tell me that you don't like the new look, I know that already! ;)

Don't forget, you can keep the current look by selecting style 'Subza' in your profile settings.

Having been using this new look for over a week, I find it easier to get around it. But why is there a large white area at the top of each section?

Tricky to say. Whereabouts on the screen do you mean? I have tried to keep a bit more white space around the sections, to improve readability, but if it's too big it's counter-productive.

Please let me know which browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) you're using.

It's not that I dislike it, it's that we look like GYO now. Oh well, we'll get used to it and doubtless, we'll come to love it too!

As Tigger says; I'm not keen but I'm a creature of habit and felt comfortable in the old format.

One thing though, there is a box lurking on the bottom left of my screen that says "Free Seeds!" with an icon that indicates there should be a picture. It shadows over everything that should be there. It haunts me, can anyone else see this?

True... it's supposed to be a nice image, but I haven't uploaded it .... I'll try and fix it!

Please fix it quickly, I'm stuck in wimpole as it's over the submit button for profile change and I can't go back, again.

The style should be refreshed now, try editing your profile again, and the button should be neatly off to the right, where you can click it!

Press CTRL+F5 on your keyboard to update the page completely (for Windows)

Seeds banner is there now Mr PH. Can you do something about the big white space at the top right hand side now. As it's such a big blank, with the list of highlights from this month's magazine on the left, you don't know you're in the Forum until you scroll down. Perhaps you could put some sort of indication up there.

I don't know if I'm making myuself clear on this.

Hmm, well Firefox uses the same shortcuts (for force refresh anyway), unless you've customised it...

You can try holding down CTRL + clicking the refresh button... (but it looks like you can see the new profile layout anyway!)
