Hi All,

We've aquired a small lemon tree which was a bit tatty but had lots of flowers and very small lemons. I repotted it in some JI3 about four weeks ago and the foliage has gone bonkers BUT a lot of the flowers have fallen off.

It has one big lemon (about 2" long and green). I also bought some 'summer food' and have been feeding once a week as instructed. It lives in the conservatory and it seems to be extremely happy.

Does anyone have any tips on keeping it so. Also we'd like to think we'll get some lemons. What are the chances, when do they generally come and how do we encourage them.

Any help would be gratefully received.

I think that citrus fruits are one of those things that doesn't like to be moved around ,when you do then the flowers drop off which is what yours has done.So if the foliage looks good and it seems happy then I should leave it where it is wait for the fruit! I think there was an article in KG a few months ago, might have been Bob Flowerdew's about citrus, perhaps someone else will remember more detail.
