Morning all
Bit of a challenge on the legumes front today - wonder if you can help.
I raised peas and mangetout in drainpipes and slide them out in one continuous row.
One end has very nice flat pods the other is only just getting flowers, now I think from memory that the pods are the peas but they look very like young mangetout.
I wonder if any one can give me a hint on how I can tell if I am right or not - if they are mangtout I'd like to eat em.
Thanks as ever, David
ps they were both sown on the same day.
pps I could get a photo if that would help
ppss? The ones with pods are darker in colour and the leaves are larger.

Geoff,
Thanks very much, spot on advice. So I have my first crop of peas ever and soon will have my first crop of mangetout too.
Can you give me advice on when to harvest these too as well?
Thanks and regards
David

Thanks. That was also very helpful for me. I put my early peas up a pea net and some got eaten by rabbits/slugs, so I filled the gaps with my next set of peas which happened to be sugar snap. Hence I have the same problem.
