Use of Epsom salts.

This is American but useful, just allow 4.5 lts of water to the gallon, (not 3.8 as suggested)
read Liters as Litres
read sulfate as sulphate.

Ah I see what you're on about Pa now I've read the link. Don't say American gallons aren't as large as ours!

Some interesting uses for Epsom salts although I think I'd scale down the weed killer mixture that suggests adding two cups of epsom salts to a gallon of vinegar and some detergent.

I'm currently experimenting with spraying just vinegar & a splash of washing up detergent for killing weeds, found on a similar American site. I applied it Tuesday to wee tufts of grass popping up in the tears on my membrane central path & today they were already showing yellow.

Today I painted it with a brush on the weeds growing on the membrane and in the joins of the membrane on my strawberry bed as they are a pain to weed and you never get the full root out. And sprayed the nettles along the back fence. Will see if a similar result. That is a standard bottle used up already so I will have to buy it in bulk if it works, as it says they will shrivel up with the first application but may re-grow & require a few applications if established.
