Tubingen Mix

Does anyone else grow tubingen mix as a green manure.
I get the seed from the organic gardening catalogue, it contains phacelia, buckwheat, mustard, coriander, calendula, black cumin oil radish, cornflower, wild mallow, dill and borage.
It is very good for attracting bees and hover flies and also alot of other beneficial insects.
There are also two more benefits, it looks really nice when flowering and at the end of the year it's easy to dig in as green manure to add fertility to your soil.
50 grams will sow about 17 sq meters, and costs £2.65 what i think is brilliant.

I better go and check my shares in this company.

Hi OH,
In order to see what you have sown in flower you have defeated the reason why you have grown them.
I know this is hard but think about it!
Why to they put wild mallow in it I wonder as that is Biennial and all the others are annual????
Now that was a clue.
Happy to supply further conundrums for a fee!!

Hi to you Old H....this mix sounds interesting....it could be useful to me.
I have a bit of ground I want to clear of old shrubs etc.. I did want to grow runner beans here, but I know this is something I'm not gonna be able to accomplish....time is running out.
But the idea of a wild flower mix growing rampant appeals to me very much, and what with the added benefits, it sounds too good to be true.
Did you get this mix from the same source as your santolina seeds....Chilterns?

Jonhnboy my dear fellow, how on earth do you come up with witty conundrums at that time of the morning.
The wild mallow does flower, so maybe it's not as wild as they say.
I must have my thick head on today as i'm not sure what your getting at? and i've been thinking about it all morning.

When i sow it, i just broadcast it and rake it in a little and then let nature do the rest.
