I obtained some tomato seeds from a seed swop in Brighton ,Black Russian and Pink Brandy wine and wondered if anyone has experience of these varieties. They have all germinated well and wondered if they need side shoots removed and if best to grow in or outdoors, also how susceptible to blight they are, which is always a huge problem on our allotment. Many thanks. Barbara

We grew Pink Brandywine last year and it can be either left as a bush tomato or grown as a cordon. We grew it as a cordon because the way it grew it seemed to look more like a cordon. We grow all our tomatoes outdoors and got huge tomatoes which were lovely fried.
