Who had it and who didn't? I listened to the doom and gloom on the weather yesterday, so decided to put the rest of the garden furniture away for the winter, put the BBQ back in the store, cleaned out the gullies and gutters and what did we get? A heavy 10 minute shower.

What was all that about then?

Heavy and continual rain all night long here in the far-west, it's still raining. I haven't been outside yet, I bet the bottom of the valley is flooded.

I'm so happy we don't collect any water here, only 300 metres from us is an area known as, "Collects".

Not had much here.
Just enough to water the garden for me, which is good because it was beginning to dry out after a couple of dry weeks. :)

Same as MW - torrential downpour for all of 10 mins in the morning....then just damp and grey. Still warm though today.

I just checked my wheelbarrows, both were full to overflowing. We had a lot of rain last night.

I'm amazed that the ground has absorbed all that rain, I usually get pooling where the paddock meets the raised terrace of my kitchen garden. It's very squelchy but no pooling and no flooding in the usual spots on the road down to town.

In the valley we have a pond/lake, I expected it to be full but it'll take another two feet of water. The ground has soaked most of the rain away. We have had a good sunny summer though.

We were staying in Charmouth near Lyme Regis last night. There was a really violent thunderstorm for several hours with torrential rain - didn't get much sleep.
Back home now in West Glos and it all seems to have been quiet last night according to the neighbour who looked after our chickens.
