Yay!!!! A lovely surprise to see some ladybird lavae in the greenhouse feeding, I hope, on the zillion of aphids also in the greenhosues :D

lucky you, I saw loads of ladybirds earlier, but as I haven't noticed larvae I'm hoping they are just hiding, no aphids either luckily. :)

When the weather was bad I kept rescuing any ladybirds I found outside and put them in the greenhouse and they laid eggs under the leaves of various plants in the border. It surprised me how quickly they formed larvae and then adult ladybirds. When they emerge as an adult they are plain and you can watch the black spots appearing.

It doesn't take them long to clean up all the aphids.

I noticed a few ladybirds again yesterday, will use your tip if its wet again next summer and put some of mine in the greenhouse, they must be around still 'cos there's no aphid problem, and the greenhouse tomatoes are looking fantastic.
