What a wonderful idea for those gardening and cookery books etc that we no longer read ! Using recycled materials make a small waterproof roofed cupboard with a glass door and put out books you no longer require neighbours take a book and leave a book, if there are several around a village or town the turnover of books can be quite high. In view of so many libraries closing, this could be a good idea. This could work well for childrens books too near a school, or for gardening books on allotment sites.

We had a waterproof noticeboard on our site but unfortunately it didn't work too well - the damp ir conditions just curled up the paper and when it was really wet the paper absorbed moisture and the ink ran.

Agreed probably not a good year to start it, not good for a lot of things  , but a good idea if they can be kept dry. Folk leave out honesty tables round here and u the top of our lane the homeowner leaves out her kids outgrown toys with a small price on them.

Nature's Babe. Wonder if she is ever tempted to leave the children out there.

Well Shallot man, her dog dices with death sometimes, it's on a bend and a narrow leafy lane, she can lose her children in their large garden.
