Pen-blwydd hapus, Alan.

And I really hope that doesn't turn out to be an apology for being out of the office at the moment (or to be Welsh for "Google can't find the page you are looking for")!!!

Thanks all for your good wishes - really made my weekend.

glallotments - many thanks for the cake. I had to sneak it out and eat it in the polytunnel, as I'm only allowed one cake a year, that's Sheila's excellent West Indian Christmas cake which is next weekend's treat.

Peter - diolch yn fawr iawn am dy ddymuniadau Cymraeg. A phrase from Caernarfon for your collection: Yr hen gont The folk of Cnafron (as they call it) speak a different Welsh from the rest of the country; the English origin of the word cont needs no explanation but the Cofis use the phrase as one of endearment or affection - a weak translation would be "You old so-and-so".

Rydych mewn gwirionedd yn hen Rascal Alan.
Yn sicr, pan oeddwn yn olaf yng Nghaernarfon clywais merch ifanc, y waeth am ddiod gweiddi cenllif o'r Gymraeg yn ei ffôn symudol, gan orffen gyda 'F *** ing b****ard ", oddi wrth yr wyf yn cymryd yn ganiataol bod yn Eingl-Sacsonaidd fwy addas ar gyfer llwon.

Hefyd, Rwy'n siwr fy gystrawen y Gymraeg yn "ddiddorol" ar ôl cael eu cyfieithu gan Google.
