The wind has got that strong roaring sound, across the top of the chimney this morning, rather rough out there....
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Spring! there's no spring round here. It is blowing a gale outside and lashing down with rain.
Though on the road out of Skipton last week there were about 20 DAFFODILS flowering on the verge. And the grass has been growing.

Yes blowing a hooley here too ...My poor jasmin is having a very bad hair day . Dog and cat took one look and said no thanks ..... but being a mean mum the poor dog had no choice in the matter , although I let the cat have a tray , he is funny , needs to check its the same weather out side all the doors and windows before believing there isnt a nice day out there some where .
If I could of done it my way I would of done it by now .......
'Twas a brief and lovely foretaste we had indeed. The dogs revel in it unless it is sheeting sideways when they look at me and say, we will if you will.. They have short legs and are not affected by a gale..

We must be living in the wrong county. We have a problem with Pendle Hill as all the bad weather seems to collect on the hill and deposits the rain on our side of the hill and we get lots of rain or snow. Even if you are in the Lakes or the Dales and you can see Pendle you can see the weather collecting from the Clitheroe side and banking up on the top. Then letting rip on our side of the hill
No joke.
I know the feeling, Catherine. Pendle Hill is 12 miles from us and we can see it from the house. Today it was swathed in clouds. Yes, we could do with a few days' dry weather to do a bit of digging. The pond in our village Nature Reserve is full to overflowing - never seen it so full. But the primroses are showing colour, there is hope yet.

We walked out of Barnoldswick today, took grand daughter her dog (bassett hound) and OH, bright and dry in the village then we disappeared into the cloud and rain until we came back down off the tops into the bright weather. No sign of Spring and Country file weather is still not looking good.
