That's it. Sunrise is a minute earlier today than it has been since Christmas Day. And it gets a bit lighter every morning from now on

Glad to hear that it gets lighter a whole minute earlier!! The worst is over and it'll be spring in no time!! I can't wait to enjoy some long summer nights but i know that's a long way off. might have to book a little holiday somewhere sunny in the meantime!
I had a heavy cold which went on all through December and it then decided to turn into a chest infection...as Christmas was only a week away, I caved in and went to see the GP for antibiotics. (He was totally gobsmacked as I never use them) They cleared up the chest infection but the after effects of the cold still linger on...bunged up nose and silly cough, mainly.
The GP said there is a particularly nasty virus doing the rounds at the moment that is almost flu-like. Certainly felt like it.
Here's hoping you all get rid of this lergy sharpish!

Happy with my lot

Glad to hear that Alan. Its still a bit light in our garden at the moment but that may be because the sky is clear.
Sorry to hear you are under the weather OH, hope you feel better soon.
We both had head colds from Christmas to NY but they seem to be going now. I think alcohol might have helped.

Today's the day.....that it was definitely lighter when I left work...but was definitely darker this morning....power out....tree problems
......and today's the day that I lifted the first new Potatoes of the year.
Actually caused by a poor job last year of missing digging 5 Lady Christl that got hidden under the new growth from a Blackberry....
They simply re grew and until the frost the other day had looked like a early summer row of Potatoes.
Sorry to read of the lurgies....I am trying my best to avoid them..
..and sorry for the thread warp.
...but again it feels a bit cheering to post up a good news story.....and good that it is a bit lighter at each end of the day..
Clive.
