Well, I never thought that I would still be eating my home-grown tomatoes at Christmas, but it's happened!!!

Not straight from the garden, I admit. I lifted the plants a while ago when the weather looked set to turn and blight was starting to take more of a hold- maybe about 6 weeks ago, though I'm not certain. I stored the green tomatoes in boxes out in the shed. Since then I have been taking out the nearly ripe ones every week and putting them by the window to finish ripening.
Anyway, I have just sorted out another batch that we will enjoy in a family meal tomorrow. Sadly, they will be the last - the ones left in the boxes were past their best and have now been consigned to the bin, but it has been wonderful to eat our own fresh tomatoes for 6 whole months! :D

Well done mouse!
Sit down before a fact as a little child, be prepared to give up every preconcieved notion, follow humbly wherever and to whatever abyss nature leads, or you shall learn nothing.

Morning Bert, just six months to wait for the next ones. :)
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.
