Merry Christmas everyone,
Just got back from friends house, having been there for a wonderful dinner and plenty to drink. Hope you all had as good a day as we have had.
Hope you all have a very successful year ahead.

Merry Christmas Everyone
Had a cracking time, a house full, lots of laughter
I remember playing scrabble when it used to be a board game
Not now
they play It now with an I-pad and their mobile phones
I have never played scrabble with a mobile phone, lost me
but good fun
best Wishes
Arnie

I've learned.... That the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround myself with people smarter than I am.
Hope you all had an enjoyable Christmas.
Couldn't post yesterday as it is a family tradition that we have the PC and TV switched off on this day.

I think that is a lovely idea John, people chat more when the tv and computers are off. Hopefully this will be the same for us tomorrow as we have all the family coming tomorrow..... for lunch.

An extra market on Christmas Eve saw me exhausted... Went into the Church before driving home and sat on a friendly bale of straw in the Crib ( life sized figures ) with Christmas carols playing gently, for a long while with closed eyes. 4 pm on Christmas Eve is busy in an Irish Church; glorious flower arrangements arriving. candle stands full and bright.. Warm and dry; perfect after a drizzly day trading.
Could have stayed there forever.. bliss..
Then just as I was falling asleep, the landlord arrived with card and a chunk of frozen beef ( dairy and beef farmer) and to make sure the delivery of coal he had ordered had arrived...
Always enjoy the Eve more than the day.. too much food.. lol... Oh heard Nine lessons and carols on the computer. Twice...
