White flowered in forground and grey-green rockets in the background, which for scale is 7' to 8' high.

Hi Peter,
The tall flower just breaking is Elecampane and the tall green one is Amaranthus or it could be a type of Orache both members of the same family as Fat Hen. (Chenopodiaceae)
I agree with Clive that the white flower is Galega.

PS. I cannot believe that I have put Amaranthus instead of Artemesia
so will put it down 'Senior Momentary Lapse!' JB.
