Yellow Spots on Pumpkin

Can't identify that mould? Got a great tip for keeping slugs at bay? Suggestions for organic weed control? Post them here...

Help! My pumpkin plants are sporting bright yellow spots on their leaves and today I noticed that one of the stems is turning yellow too - what could be causing this? They have been in pots for four weeks (after buying small plants from the garden centre), and they were planted out yesterday.

Thanks in advance!!

Hi PJ

I know it's not helpful to say this, but your pumpkins are rather small too be planted out at the moment.

Yellow spots on the leaves are usually (later in the season) a sign of powdery mildew

I thought they would be OK as we are down south and our garden is sheltered. Ooops. I guess you learn by your mistakes. Thanks for your help and the link that you have sent me. Much appreciated.
