I have cut these off my rhubarb, as advised in the books.
Any comments on how low to make the cut? As the stems are hollow, does water caught in the stem cause any problems?

We just twist them off below the flower head and it doesn't seem to do any harm. One variety seems to be flowering very early this year.

Thanks.
Indeed there are lots of rhubarb flowers on the allotments (not on mine curiously). I guess that one variety has been split and distributed amongst the plot-holders.
Curious how people just leave them (or may be are not visiting often :o ).

If I saw anyone on those plots I would advise them
