Thanks for your good wishes. I was already singing out of tune (always have done and been out of step, but that's another story) so no change there then.
We had an erratic afternoon. Went for a walk on Norber Scar near Austwick to look at the erratics that I had seen recently on TV. Lived not far away for 36 years and didn't know they were there. The glaciation lifted the lumps of gritstone from lower down and dumped them on the limestone. The limestone then eroded away and left them balanced in all sorts of strange ways. There are lots of them and some are huge. Hazy sunshine wasn't good for photos but this should give you an idea. We didn't get a sunset in the haze Monica.

Happy Birthday Geoff. What a fabulous picture.
We walked from the Church at Low Gill on Wednesday but it was such a quick decision to go for a walk we did not have chance to contact you. We saw the deer, (five this time) we have seen them every time we have done this walk. We so love the area where you live. We hope you enjoyed your birthday.
We walked up in the Lakes today Cogra Moss and Blake Fell though it was very hazy and on our drive back home, which took three hours, the sunset was quite disappointing.
