Apple Moths

Can't identify that mould? Got a great tip for keeping slugs at bay? Suggestions for organic weed control? Post them here...

Has anybody any experience of trying to control Apple Moths (Codling) with pheromone traps and / or nematode treatments? Particularly does anybody think they make any difference!

I think the pheromone traps help but they are not 100% but together with grease bands and good hygiene - picking up fallen apples that are maggoty etc. all helps.
To my knowledge there is no effective winter wash any more either.

I did the grease and clean up in the Autumn (most check what it said on the grease paint tub, I think I am supposed to renew it in the Spring). One thing that worries me is the holes seem smaller than what I think I should expect from Codling Moth, is there anything else?

Make sure you keep the grease bands free from debri else they will be making 'bridges' including the ants later on.
