Sit down before a fact as a little child, be prepared to give up every preconcieved notion, follow humbly wherever and to whatever abyss nature leads, or you shall learn nothing.

Not really about ladybirds but had to tell you about my early Valentine present from hubbie. Was it flowers, chocolates or even some lingerie?? No, it was a huge roll of weed suppressing black fabric. Almost as good as the load of manure I got for Xmas one year! Who needs roses - they only last for a week. Every time I go up the lottie path now I will be thinking of him

Dear Haggis, i hope that doesn't mean you will be walking all over him.
I suppose i will have to meet the postman with my wheelbarrow, to get my cards.

Dear Alan, i'm so glad to see, an early dark Sunday morning, doesn't dull that wonderful sense of humour you have.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

OH won't be grinning so much when he discovers that all his fans have posted the cards without stamps on them! Not sure what the going rate is for the Post Office charge for unstamped envelopes but he might have to get a second mortgage on that wheelbarrow!

O, my luve's like a red, red rose,
That's newly sprung in June.
O, my luve's like the melodie,
That's sweetly play'd in tune.
As fair art thou, my bonie lass,
So deep in luve am I,
And I will luve thee still, my Dear,
Till a' the seas gang dry.
Till a' the seas gang dry, my Dear,
And the rocks melt wi' the sun!
O I will luve thee still, my Dear,
While the sands o' life shall run.
And fare thee weel, my only Luve,
And fare thee weel a while!
And I will come again, my Luve,
Tho' it were ten thousand mile!

Well, better than my original idea of naming a cockroach after each of you

Hissing roaches.......... think the weed control fabric was dead romantic compared to that.
Hope you all had a lovely valentines day. I'm off to have a nice cup of tea and a lovely cupcake with a wee heart on it. Yum yum (trying not to think of appointment with personal trainer tomorrow though).
