From my childhood I have a patchy memory of a TV programme whose name I cannot recall and my internet searches have failed me.
I think it was made by Yorkshire TV and filmed in said county, all about an energy efficient house which the programme documented being built from the semi-derelict shell.of an older house.
I remember it having a conservatory in the ninety degree angle facing south with some sort of air to brick-mass heat store under the floor.
Anyone recollect this programme?
Please help reconstruct an incomplete memory

Hi CoMpO
'It's not easy Going green' was only made in 2006 and in Cornwall, so it can't be what Peter is trying to remember - and if he was a child then, that must make him the youngest member of the forum
Having said that, I have no memory of it, though I probably lived in Yorkshire throughout Peter's childhood and saw plenty of YTV.
Any more clues, Peter?

Meanwhile, I still search for the location of a harbour that we once visited on a family holiday back in the mid 1970s....
I suspect it could have been in Wales.? I think the story was that it was built for a specific purpose but never ever used due to silting up....
I seem to recall stone block built harbour walls and rope fixings.....
But where was it...??
Clive.

Peter, could the TV programme you are trying to recall be "A House for the Future" which was shown in 1976 on ITV hosted by Brian Trueman. This was a refurbishment of a house in Macclesfield. We still have the book of the programme and we are still trying to 'keep the faith' on energy conservation.
Diane.

Still recalling your teenage exploits in the Home Guard, then OH?
Go on tell us that story again about those three Land Army girls misunderstanding the Curate, then embarrassing the Rector.
The programme seems to be identified, right era.
