Hi Jerry. I have the machine now but there is no spark at the plug and I suspect the points but am not sure how to get at them. There is a nut in the centre of the starter pulley but I am loathe to use much force to undo it without knowing the construction. Do you know where I can get an engine manual or how it should come apart? Many thanks Dave Tedd

Hi Jerry. I have now got the engine running sweetly and the points were dirty but had the correct gap. When you replied to the old forum you gave the name of a drive belt suppier and I wonder if you could repeat it as I am unable to access and search the old forum.I received all the engine details from the Allotments4all forum. Regards :D Dave Tedd

Hi Jerry. Cancel my last request as I have found a suitable drivebelt at Halfords pt no HB650a at £3-19. Also I have been sent details of the Villiers engine handbook at www.winget.co.uk. regards Dave Tedd
