Well, I did post about the Piper Cub on the Aeroplane Forum...but I just dare not post the gardening we were doing each side of watching the aerial activity....
This afternoon spotted a light coloured Piper Cub.?....cruising about very slowly...approaching us from the South East..and manoeuvring about the area for a while.
It has been around and about quite a lot recently...wondering if it could be G-BIYY.??.....
Whilst being ready for spotting any overflights...we got some manure barrowed onto the cleared cut flower garden...and the Cannas dug up and put to storage. With this done it had dried a little and we were able to move back to the central herbaceous borders in the kitchen garden and progress a little more cutting down and forking through... One of our regular loyal volunteers removed the bedding plants by the Applestore and dug in 3 barrows of compost to the area..before moving on to lifting some Charlotte Potatoes that were still languishing in the kitchen garden...they came up as clean as ever they do............
No, I don't think they would be impressed with that....

Sunny here today, blue sky above and a large bank of cloud in the far distance, counting my blessings. Nothing ventured and nothing gained, so will be giving moonlight a go too, but seem to get good results with most things grow well here, the soil was basically clay but is now in pretty good condition. Will be growimg moonlight and Wisley Magic runner beans, district nurse and blauhilde french bean climbers. Autumn broad bean red epicure, ( for taste,) now just showing, and my autumn peas under plastic cloches also just showing. Trying a couple of new tall peas next year too, Champion of England and a yellow sugar snap. .
Sit down before a fact as a little child, be prepared to give up every preconcieved notion, follow humbly wherever and to whatever abyss nature leads, or you shall learn nothing.

Had A blow-out in my wheelbarrow tyre, down the other end of the village first thing this morning. 
So i borrowed a wheelbarrow for the return jouney, but this had a slightly seized wheel, it didn't half take some pushing back home.
Could have been worse though, i could have been taking someone out for a date in it.

Was it a high-speed blowout Herbie?
Hope you didn't jacknife and shed your load.

Thank you for your genuine concern Peter, luckily i was just slowing down to cross the road, so was able to come to a rolling stop.
The funny thing was, about three years ago i put some of that punture, sealer stuff in the tyre, but when the blow-out occurred this strange vivid blue liquid came out.
So instead of buying a new tyre and tube, i've gone the whole hog and bought a new wheelbarrow, but i did get a shock when paying, £65 was handed over, and that was with a £5 discount.
But i now can walk down the road with a whole new swagger, with such a top quality beast.
Gosh, it all happens in Milton Bryant.

Just don't lift the handles too high and end up in the barrow. ..... We bought two cheaper smaller light duty barrows...only they have got such a low frame height in front of the wheel that any slight lifting too high of the handles and you grind to a sudden halt. 
... I got so fed up with going over the handlebars, usually when someone was watching. 
...and loosing barrow contents...that I clamped the frame in the vice and gave it a little bend to gain more front clearance.....might fail its mot for road use now though... .
..and todays Aeroplane was a Grob Tutor. ...a civilian registered trainer, but operated on behalf of RAF from RAF Cranwell.. Round the garden it went checking how well we were getting on with the centre borders....well actually I think they were checking which roundabout exit they needed.. 
.. and away they went following the Bluestone Heath road...

Congratulations on the new acquisition, OH! So it will have a '60' registration, how posh.
I just hope for the sake of your upper leg it doesn't have a sharp metal bar underneath the wheelbarrow, connecting the two handlebar pieces. We have one of those, and when I want swing the EMPTY barrow round by lifting it up with my knee underneath, it always gives me a nasty bruise. Our other wheelbarrow is nice and smooth underneath.

I did check for the dreaded middle bar Monika, and luckily here was none.
And the handles are in racing green Nature's Babe.
I was just wondering whether i should go out and give it a quick polish.

Seems a shame to add such a pretty girl to my "off with their heads" list. I won't get really annoyed until I find out what I am paying for it.
It seems a bit off to criticise after what they have been through but I think Mr C used to work for the company I worked for and I recollect he wouldn't listen to anybody then either. If you remember, they brought this on themselves by ignoring advice.

Yes, I'm already tuning out when I hear the mention of William and Kate as I did with the will they/won't they be tying the knot anytime soon saga.
I feel really uncomfortable about them using Princess Diana's engagement ring too, though I understand William's reasoning. It just doesn't seem right...I don't think it was a family heirloom, was it? Whatever, It just made me shudder.
However, they seem a level headed couple and I wish them well.
