Any radish can be allowed to go to seed and the green pods eaten raw. Rat-tails are just longer pods. Whatever variety you grow it does make a very tall plant - a metre or more and floppy.

. I have thrown away some radish that had gone to seed. What does it taste like?

Anyone know the best variety for flavour, I like strong and spicy, and I understand they pickle well too.
