I know fruit has set well on almost everything but I think my Noble Fir has produced too many cones for its own good.

Shame you can't eat them Geoff :)
Cheers PJ.

I'm just off down the greenhouse. I won't be long...........

Cheers PJ.

Morning OH and PJ

Sorry to disappoint you

The wind and rain we have had here overnight will leave us this afternoon and reach you both.

As Tomasz Schafernaker has just said on the radio forecast this morning: "If it's not raining where you are yet, it will be!"

Dear OH, I sincerely hope you are nice and warm and dry by now....should hate for you to get kingcough.....

It's chucking it down and blowing a gale here today....no winter digging again. And our lawn is in dire need of a cut but that's out of the question too!
Oh well, I suppose I had better go do some shopping.....the joys of ASda on a Friday afternoon. :(

Cheers.
Happy with my lot

Managed to get quite a lot done on the plot this morning, but Alan was right, it is absolutely hammering down now :(
Cheers PJ.

Thank goodness I managed to get the lawns cut yesterday as it is horrible today. I also made paths and two paved areas for the hens and laid 25 sq meters of turf on Monday, so they are all ready for winter with a nice clean run. Don't know how long the turf will last, but I thought I'd re-do it now I've only got 5 hens. They are in the orchard so it looks really nice now and shows off the late apples and pears.

I'm quite enjoying a non-gardening day after my efforts and the rain should water in the grass nicely.

I've decided to leave clearing out the greenhouse for another day and have been sorting through the wardrobe instead. There's a small charity shop pile, then a very large OK for gardening pile and a couple of OK for going out in (if I lose half a stone). Oh dear!

I've been looking out for a nice dressed up blouse or top for ages. I really don't want to look like a cross between Robin Hood in tights and a pregnant Russian peasant which seems to be the fashion this year.
