I was quite pleased with my potato crop till i saw this record breaker an 8lb 4oz potato makes mine look rather tiny. I wonder what his secret is ?
The variety was Kondor. Anyone here come close?

Hi NB,
I saw the report on this spud and I immediately thought that it was actually several spuds which had become joined up. Technically one vegetable, I suppose, but could one not replicate it by sowing groups of seed potatoes very close together, even on top of each other!?
Incidentally, I've had a super crop of Desiree this year, some very large ones and not a slug in sight :D

The biggest result I've had was from "Remarka". Christmas dinner for four adults with a single roast potato ... did not weigh them though.
