Hi,
Has anyone out there any experience on setting up a gardening club - a few of us have got together in our village and feel we would like to formalise things and to include the whole village. Does the RHS offer help, affiliation and of course insurance needs to be considered.
Any thoughts etc would be great.
Thanks
Hilary

Try the National Society of Allotment and Leisure Gardeners website at http://www.nsalg.org.uk/docs/Self-Administration_leaflet.doc , their website seems to have reduced in usefulness since my last visit, they used (from memory) to have a whole range of leaflets in pdf format.
If it is just a club then look on you town/district/county council website for a directory of clubs/associations and try contacting any neighbouring organisations.
Do not put off thanking people when they have helped you, as they may not be there to thank later.

Hi Hilary
My wife and I are on the committee of our allotment association, that is just a year old, I can send you a copy of our Constitution if it would help, we also publish a newsletter for the members and are building a website.

Been having a long term "senior moment" this week and nagging feeling that there was another very useful resource.

Tidying my study to install my new scanner I found it! A faded printout from http://www.farmgarden.org.uk/ari/index. ... =view&id=5

Go there and enjoy.
